Our Mission
Divine Child High School, centered in the teachings of Jesus Christ, the rich Tradition of the Catholic Church, and the call to unconditional love, develops young men and women for lives of responsibility, leadership, and faith in action.
Our VISION
Our leadership and staff ensure that our students' experience is pillared up in five main areas:
Spiritually, Divine Child students develop a strong foundation in faith, ethics, and morals which will allow them to positively affect the world in which they live. Through all-school Masses, daily theology classes, weekly Eucharistic Adoration, frequent Reconciliation opportunities, annual retreats and numerous community service offerings, our students will encounter Christ, grow in faith and charity, and know how to make wise decisions.
Academically, we offer many different programs for college-bound students. For those students who perform exceptionally well, we offer Honors classes starting freshman year, and Advanced Placement courses for college credit beginning sophomore year. We also offer an excellent Instructional Support Program for students with diagnosed learning differences. As a parish school, we are committed to making an exceptional Catholic education accessible for all learners.
Creatively, we offer one of the largest fine arts programs in the state of Michigan. Our band program, with over 100 participants, has performed in Chicago, Walt Disney World, Nashville and New York City. Our theatre department produces a Fall play and a Spring musical with over 100 students performing in our productions each year. Our art department offers many levels of courses in painting, drawing, digital photography, ceramics, art history and woodworking. Our annual art show showcases many of our extremely talented artists.
Socially, our students participate in over 30 different clubs and activities. With so many different options available, from Student Council to Quiz Bowl and from Culinary Arts Club to Robotics Clubs, we offer the clubs and activities to develop student interests outside of the classroom. There is something for everyone at Divine Child!
Athletically, Divine Child offers over 50 teams in 27 sports which allows many of our students to actively participate in their favorite sports. In addition, DC has a rich tradition of championship teams with over 40 state championships and over 100 Catholic League championships to our name. Our student-athletes understand what it takes to do their best and display good sportsmanship.

60+ years of Divine Child
For over six decades, Divine Child Catholic Schools have provided young women and men with an excellent Catholic education. It is our privilege and responsibility to nurture the growth of students spiritually, academically, creatively, socially, and athletically. Countless members of the Divine Child community have made a lasting impact on our schools. If it were not for Msgr. Weier, Msgr. Kucyk, Fr. Bilot, Fr. McCabe and the many members of the schools' leadership - including several alumni principals - our institution would not be where it is today. Our story began in 1950 when the Archdiocese of Detroit founded our parish. Shortly thereafter, our community rallied to build an elementary school, and the rest is history.

Divine Child High School has met the criteria for educational quality established by the AdvancED® Accreditation Commission and has been presented with a Certificate of Accreditation by the NCA Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission and the SACS Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.
