A Letter From Our Principal

Welcome to Falcon Country! Since 1958, Divine Child High School has ministered to both young men and women. I am very fortunate to be a part of this school community as an alumna, faculty member, and parent. Our commitment to Catholic education has remained constant over the past 52 years. In Dearborn and around the globe, for over a half century, we have boldly celebrated, in red and gray, our Catholic identity.

A Divine Child High School education is a gift that keeps on giving. In my own experience, the diploma I received here in 1972 is the rock upon which I have built professional, spiritual, and personal successes. Both my children, I am proud to say, graduated from DC. A Catholic school education is the most precious gift I had to give to them.

Divine Child High School has made significant investments in technology over the last several years. Our faculty do serve as role models for our students, and we value the significant investment that each family makes in Catholic education. Still, these three realities do not by themselves capture the essence of our mission. We are a commission of Divine Child parish, entrusted with the awesome responsibility of shaping within each child "goodness with knowledge." Our motto, the same motto we have had for half a century, is at the core of what we have to offer as a parish Catholic college preparatory school. We know that quality learning occurs in an environment where students are held accountable for their work, where teachers make the effort to connect what is learned in the classroom to what is needed in the world, where schools remember that students do not care how much you know until they know how much you care. These are common sense, old fashioned, traditional approaches to education. These approaches are not only a hallmark of the education we have provided this community, but also a living witness to the Gospel values Jesus embodied in his life, his ministry, his death and his resurrection.

We are proud of what we do and invite you to stop by for a visit. There are a number of opportunities for you to be on campus and take a closer look at Divine Child High School. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Please take the time to visit us on campus.

A Letter From Our Pastor

Photo of DC pastor Fr. James Bilot

With praise and thanks to God, the community of Divine Child has been entrusted with a vibrant parish, a strong elementary school, and a high school that graduates well-rounded students who go on to make a difference. As you discern your willingness to be a part of Divine Child High School, know that you can be a part of creating a blessed history for the future of the Church and of society. Thank you for considering a Divine Child High School Catholic education.

Under the direction of Mrs. Peggy Knuth, our high school principal, along with the administration, faculty and staff, the students are in very good hands spiritually, academically, athletically, socially and creatively. My full support and daily prayers go out to these wonderful people who guide our students and encourage them to be the best that the Lord has called them to be. By entrusting your children to the administration and faculty of Divine Child High School, you may be assured that they will become the future leaders of our Church, community and nation. More importantly, your children will develop a strong foundation in faith, ethics and morals, which will allow them to be bold proclaimers of the Gospel and bring change to a world desperately in need of God's love.

I pray that the Holy Spirit guides you in your discernment, and I look forward to you and your family becoming an integral part of Divine Child High School.

In gratitude,
