My name is Dwayne Kremko and I was a "senior" at Divine Child for nine years. I feel that it is my responsibility to make sure that past, present, and future Falcons know the "rich" history of Divine Child. In the fall 1960, I was a member of Divine Child's first varsity football team. My book "Falcons: The Lost Year" is an account of the first Falcon football team and the journey of that inaugural football season. Divine Child was a young high school with an even younger football team of juniors and sophomores who would go on to play against seasoned varsity football teams of long established high schools. Considering that we would be a football team without any seniors everyone figured we were going to get our butts kicked for seven consecutive football games that fall.
Come along with the young Falcons as we struggle through that first football season. Follow the first Falcons as we play each Sunday's football game. Endure with the Falcons as we encounter seasoned varsity football teams from established high schools. Share the uncertainty of the unknown that the "senior less" Falcons faced each football game in our first years of varsity football.
